Jim Hagood – Managing Director & Co-Founder of Academic Med
Jim Hagood is the Managing Director & Co-Founder of Academic Med. Throughout Jim’s career in executive search, he has established himself as one of the foremost experts in physician recruitment. Jim has been very successful at creating long-term partnerships with organizations and physician leaders by providing strategic and customized recruitment solutions to clients throughout the country.
Prior to founding Academic Med, Jim was a Managing Partner at one of the largest executive search firms in the country. During his tenure at the organization, Jim established and built a national recruitment practice that specialized in the Neurological Sciences.
Earlier in his career, Jim honed his consulting and problem-solving expertise as the Sales Director at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services (formerly Electronic Data Systems – EDS), which positioned him for success in the executive search and physician recruitment industry. While at EDS, Jim received numerous sales and management awards due to his ability to negotiate and close multiple $100 million+ services contracts and consistently build highly productive and cohesive teams of professional individual performers.
